OUTSTANDING!!! My DH and kids were in utter heaven eating this meal! I, too, doubled the recipe, & doubled the marinade. Then cooked the meat quickly, removed it to large bowl while I stir fried fresh broccoli, julienned carrots and onion to tender-crisp, then added the beef back to the skillet and simmered information technology a trivial longer in the sauce, thickenening it with a small amount of cornstarch. This was a fantasic one-dish meal! Cheers!!!

I doubled the marinade, and replaced the vegetable oil with one and a one-half tablespoons of sesame oil so it's a lot less oily. Used one-half the marinade for the meat and marinated over 24 hours. Then I stir fried the meat for a few minutes, added broccoli and rehydrated dried shitake mushrooms, and the balance of the marinade. Covered and cooked til the broccoli was the way we similar it, and so added some cornstarch to thicken. My husband said, "You weren't expecting leftovers, were y'all?" (There are only two of us) Next time I would omit the sesame seeds, as the oil gave it enough of sesame flavor and the actual seeds got lost in everything else I added. I know some people go upset when you lot change a recipe and review information technology the manner you made it instead of the recipe, only nosotros similar what we like and this was easy and delicious to make the mode you lot like it. Neither of u.s.a. institute this too sugariness, but information technology if you don't like slightly sweetness main dishes, y'all may want to cut the carbohydrate a piddling.

Hubs and I really enjoyed this, just as we do about stir fries. However, the amount of sugar called for is about four times more than than you need – so I did reduce it to just a fourth of what was directed, and used brown sugar rather than white. It was simply right. As for the meat, I wanted something more than tender than round steak for this quick cooking method then I used sirloin (No Proper name Steak, to exist exact, that I always keep on hand for this very purpose). I besides included some adept-sized shrimp and, to make this a complete meal, I stir fried some vegetables likewise - babe bok choy, mushrooms, bean sprouts and onions. I sprinkled on the toasted sesame seeds and greenish onion only earlier serving, in an amount that seemed correct to me rather than measuring. What I loved best virtually this recipe was its unproblematic, clean flavors, not bogged down by lots of different spices or "oestrus."

What a great recipe and not at all labour intensive! However, I would recommend a few changes: - Instead of using four tbsp each of oil, soy sauce, and saccharide... use four tbsp soy sauce, iii tbsp oil, and 2 ane/2 tbsp sugar. (If y'all stick to the original, information technology may be a piffling too oil and sweetness for your liking.) - Add 2 tbsp of cornstarch to thicken up the sauce - If yous want to add veggies (I added asparagus and steamed broccoli), double the sauce.

Absolutely succulent and very simple. Like a few others I sprinkled in a touch of red pepper flake. I also stir fried with very thinly sliced onion and served over steamed rice - might add together some carrot adjacent time. Made some snow peas to accompany. Very good, very easy meal.

Oh My Goodness! Thank you for a Fabled recipe that was amazingly EASY to brand!! I am sharing this one with the daughter in laws!!
ten/08/2003
I marinated the meat for about 4 hours in the refrigerator and it was tender, simply the sauce was disappointing and at that place wasn't nearly enough of it, despite the fact that I doubled the recipe for information technology.
09/05/2003
Cracking flavor just a little too sweet. Volition use one/2 the saccharide called for next time I brand it. I also added broccoli which nosotros institute a nice addition.

For working moms, this dish is and then easy and super fast! I fabricated this last night and my husband loved information technology. I didn't have any greenish onions, but it was even so tasty. As well, before cooking the beef, I sauted some asparagus spears cut into 2 inch pieces in canola oil and soy sauce with some sesame seeds. Once that was washed (about 5 minutes), I removed the asparagus from the pan and cooked the meat. When it came time to add the sesame seeds to the meat, I threw the aspargus in, too. Succulent!!! I served with store-bought egg rolls to circular out the meal. We volition definately make this once again!

I just wanted to brand a quick, flavorful dish that didn't require me buying more than 2 items from the grocery store. Mission achieved! I ONLY had to buy the light-green onions and the beef. Everything else I had in my cupboards. The result...I now take a recipe for an "oh-then-tasty" dish that I tin brand in a curt menstruum of time. ONLY CHANGES - I remembered reading what one reviewer said near decreasing the carbohydrate so I cut that in half, down to 2 tablespoons and I added three green onion stalks instead of 2 and likewise added an extra gralic clove. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED *****
09/28/2005
This was really good. Next time I would add some onions and maybe pea pods and a trivial chili paste for some spice. The flavor was wonderful and then like shooting fish in a barrel!
01/20/2002
This was very good. The sauce is similar to a marinade I use for shish kabob's. It was a winner with my family!
eleven/eighteen/2006
Made it at the fire station. I was worried that the circular steak might be as well tuff and then instead of just marinating information technology, I put the meat and marinade in the crock pot on depression for iv hours. Then I stir fried the meat with pea pods, broccoli, mushrooms and carrots. I recommend using low sodium soy sauce.

I've made this recipe many times--it is my "go to" summer vacation recipe when I take to melt for 20+ family members! I recommend marinating overnight if possible, and buying thin sliced meridian round steak. Freeze it a little (not all the way through) and and so cut really thin slices with a good pair of kitchen shears. I tin't imagine using a pocketknife to cut all the beefiness--utilise a adept pair of kitchen scissors! It is really fast and piece of cake once you get the method down. You tin also add nearly any fresh vegetable merely beware of frozen vegetables--they tin add water/sogginess.
04/08/2011
Fantastic and easy! I used stirfry beef and only marinated for about fifteen minutes. I omitted the dark-green onions since I didn't accept whatever. Stirfried the beed in the marinade, removed from the pan and so cooked frozen stirfry veggies and crushed pineapple in another batch of the marinade. Added cornstarch and sesame seeds and put the beef and marinade back in until the liquid thickened. Hubby and I agreed that this is the best stirfry recipe I've tried, and I've tried quite a few.
08/07/2005
This was very good. My hubby loved it. Later the meat had thoroughly cooked, I added some light-green pepper and cooked information technology until the green peppers got a little soft. In a seperate bowl, I combined a little soy sauce, white sugar, garlic, water, cornstarch and added information technology to the meat until it thickened up and put everything over rice.

This recipe made a very skillful dish. I must acknowledge I was a little bit disappointed, but just because I had very high expectations, I guess. I dearest this kind of dish at Chinese restaurants, and had never made anything quite like this. I made the recipe pretty much equally written, using sunflower oil instead of generic "vegetable oil", and marinating the steak for about 24 hours. For the steak, I used a little over a pound of bottom round. This too marked the offset fourth dimension I'd e'er cooked with sesame seeds. Marinating time aside, this gets points for existence a very quick and easy recipe. I had half of this on a bed of boiled white rice, to soak up the sauce. For the other one-half the next dark, I just spooned up the extra sauce, which was very tasty by itself. I practice recommend this recipe; I just wonder what it would take to transform it from "very good" to "fantastic!"
12/17/2014
For a scientific discipline grade project, nosotros had to notice a recipe and make information technology. Something nigh comparing and Photosynthesis... ugh. Simply I found this, thought it looked heavenly, and decided to effort it. Was the all-time thing I've ever tasted. My taste buds give thanks you very much, and and then does my study card.
ten/04/2010
Very expert. Followed the recipe exactly, and wouldn't change a thing!
ten/25/2010
fast and easy, great with noodles - just like going out!
x/29/2005
I made this with chicken instead of beef and took the other reviewers' proposition about changing over to brown saccharide instead of white. I also halved the sugar and information technology was plenty sweet. I would actually consider dredging it in flour before cooking to go a ameliorate texture, but the taste was good. I call back some veggies wouldn't injure either. Possibly some brocolli?
07/16/2005
I have had something similar at PF Changs... I too doubled the marinade. To become a thicker sauce with more intense flavour laddle near of the marinade into the pan and reduce prior to cooking the beef. Place the reduced marinade (syrup like just non too thick) in the serving dish and then cook the meat. Add it to the reduced marinade and mix to distribute. WOW!

500 starts for making me eat two plates concluding nighttime and an extra big plate this afternoon. Dang, I really demand to lose weight! :p I added 1tbsp of dearest garlic sauce, 1tsp of blackberry jam, broccoli and cauliflower, and frozen mixed vegetables... Marinated for near an hr for dinner, marinated overnight in the fridge for dejeuner. Served with the Sriracha Hot sauce and steamed rice. MmmMmmmmmMmmmm!
06/30/2010
I changed this recipe a fleck, but I might try to do it more similar the recipe side by side fourth dimension! I really liked the flavor, but I cooked onions, zucchini and light-green pepper right in with the meat, and it caused the meat to over cook (while I was waiting for the veggies to soften). Adjacent fourth dimension I will pre cook the veggies and add them in at the end. I also added a fleck of cornstarch to the sauce, because with the actress liquid from the veggies, information technology was a bit too watery. Otherwise, it was a great recipe and super easy!
05/31/2011
I added broccoli, mushrooms, and shredded carrot, and pineapple. Information technology was perfect for my family, they LOVED information technology.
07/30/2002
This was an accented delight to gear up besides as swallow. My husband and I could non stop picking at the leftovers. This was a really inexpensive meal to make for those of united states of america who need to lookout man the budget a piddling more closely. And not beingness able to employ the stove in the eye of this estrus wave just made this a recipe I will cherish for years to come! Thank you Lynn!!!
x/10/2011
I substituted 2 T fish sauce + ii T water for the soy sauce. Then before I cooked the meat, I strained the liquid off information technology, added a couble tablespoons of cornstarch, so cooked in a pan with hot oil. This helped the meat get a little crispy on the edges instead of steaming. Then the reserved liquid I cooked with extra veggies, and I mixed information technology all together and sered information technology over rice.
06/05/2003
Loved this! Serve over rice-
05/28/2006
This recipe was nifty with my following changes: reduce sugar to i one/2 tbsp, substitute 1/2 tbsp of vegetable oil with sesame oil, add ii tsp freshly crushed peppercorns, and reduced soy sauce to 3 tbsp. (used Kikkoman make soysauce, saltiness of soysauce definitely varies from brand to make). Was only able to marinate the meat for 45 mintues but t was fantastic! As an appetizer, try wrapping strips around asparagus stalks and bake at 350 degrees celcius for twenty-25 minutes, broiling the last 5 minutes. The sauce becomes a little glazed on the meat! yum!
09/17/2006
We really love this recipe at our house! Its the closest to restaraunt way chinese I take made. I simply give it 4 stars though considering as is its as well oily and there is not enough sauce. I followed the communication of the other reviewers and doubled the sauce simply I besides replaced most of the oil with chicken broth. I actually only utilise almost 1 tbsp of sesame oil and then about a one/ii cup of chicken broth. I also add together a pocketbook of cooked, asian style veggies (which I purchase frozen - it has water chestnuts, carrots, peppers and brocolli) into the finished mixture. If I have fresh veggies on hand I'll add them in too (like red peppers or asparagus). This dish goes well with nigh veggies so just add in whatever you got!
06/13/2011
Awesome. I doubled the marinade and omitted the greenish onions (iv twelvemonth old refuses to eat them). I also used flat atomic number 26 steak since I had it on hand. I have made this several times, and information technology always turns out bully. I usually steam some broccoli and stir it in towards the finish. Serve over white rice. Bang-up equally leftovers also.
05/20/2006
This was pretty practiced. I used tiptop sirloin instead of circular. Next fourth dimension I will dissever the meat from the marinade before I melt information technology so that the meat sautees instead of boils in the liquid. I will also apply some brown sugar in addition to the white sugar. I did add some cornstarch to the sauce to thicken a bit. I think this would be very good with broccoli and red bell pepper added to information technology.
11/04/2010
Iv and a half stars. Easy and delicious with a few changes. For the marinade I mixed one tablespoon sugar, two tbsp minced garlic, six tbsp each soy sauce and toasted sesame seed oil. I added 3/4 tbsp chili garlic paste. Added one pound thinly sliced beefiness until well-coated and allow marinate in the fridge for near 2 hours. I cooked the beef first, about 5 minutes; I then added in a handbag of frozen California vegetables (a mixture of broccoli, cauliflower and carrots) and let cook for an add'l 2-three minutes earlier adding in julienned ruddy and yellow bell pepper, sliced greenish onions and a compression of sesame seeds. At this bespeak I added in some other tbsp of soy sauce and about 3/4 cup craven stock; brought to a boil and and then added 1/ii tsp cornstarch to thicken. This tasted succulent on jasmine rice. Thank you for the recipe.
04/28/2013
This has really nifty flavor. Doubled the marinade every bit others suggested, reduced the suger to six Tbl. Otherwise made every bit stated. Sauce is super running if serving over egg noodles, side by side time i volition add cornstarch to thicken sauce
ten/06/2014
Very expert. My kids request this at least once a month. I like to add actress broccoli and I double the marinade. Also, add together a clamper of mashed kiwi to the marinade. Its a trick I learned from my Korean neighbor, it makes the beefiness extremely tender.
08/03/2010
love it...nosotros used brown sugar instead of white! :)
06/02/2010
These are skilful, quick and piece of cake. Sometimes I would utilize this sauce for stir frying vegetables without meat/poultry. Yes, double the sauce. Half for marinating the meat and the other half when your ready to stir in the vegetables.
01/15/2006
This was very skilful. I gave it 4 stars rather than 5 as it was a little on the bland side. I did add some sesame oil to the marinade but I only added one/four tsp. I couldn't sense of taste the sesame at all. Next time I will add more. Afterward stir frying the meat I transferred information technology to a covered basin to keep warm. I then stir fried a mixture of broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus, xanthous and orange peppers, beans and mushrooms (what I happened to take at the time) in a litte oil. I added about 1 tbsp of water to the wok, covered and let the vegetables steam for a few minutes. I then added the meat back and added a sauce made from 1/ii cup of water, one/2 loving cup of beefiness broth, 1 tsp. white sugar, 2 tbsp. of low sodium soy sauce and two tbsp of cornstarch. I and so stirred to thicken. I served this over a bed of chow mein noodles.
01/eleven/2012
This is my commencement review. I have tried many recipes from this site but this one actually was very simply succulent. I read the reviews first and cut the sugar to my gustation (a trivial less than half) used olive oil in the marinade, added orange bell pepper, zucchini and mushrooms. DELICIOUS! Doubled the marinade as per previous reviews. Hubby devoured. This is now a staple.
11/18/2010
Admittedly delicious, very elementary, and made with ingredients I usually have on-hand. I make it with broccoli and rice, and it's perfect!
01/03/2006
Succulent and very easy to make! I sliced upwardly a round roast and doubled the recipe. It worked excellent for dinner and a few lunches served over rice for the next 2 days. I will exist making this often! My family loved it!
x/25/2006
quick and easy recipe...i substitute saccharide to two tbsp of honey.....a keeper! thanks for sharing..
12/18/2005
This recipe was excellent! I offset cooked a packet of frozen stir-fry vegetable mix and removed information technology the skillet. I then cooked the marinated beef in the same skillet and when shut to washed, I added the vegetables back in to reheat. It was so much amend than take-out. Will definitely brand once more!
08/06/2007
Delicious and super easy to make! I followed the recipe exactly (but I did use splenda instead of sugar becase I institute out likewise late that I was out of sugar) and information technology turned out excellent.
09/29/2006
Great recipe! I made a few changes: but had fourth dimension to marinate for ane/2 hr (notwithstanding took on season) cooked the beef without the marinade, then added cornstarch with the sauce after. Reduced sugar by half and used half white and one-half brown carbohydrate. Also added carrots and broccoli to the stir fry and served information technology all on egg noodles. YUM!!!
07/18/2005
I used this marinade on chicken rather than beef. I didn't have scallions or garlic then I replaced these ingredients with 1 tsp. of both garlic pulverization and onion pulverisation. I also added one/2 tsp red pepper flakes because I couldn't help myself. (dearest the zing it addded) It at present looks like I have a new sesame chicken recipe every bit it received all thumbs upward from my family unit of 9. Cheers, I volition fix this recipe over again and again, and over again.
01/08/2012
Wife gave it 5, me 4. It was sugariness (using 3 TBS) just that made information technology different. It could apply veggies. Very easy to make, if you tin can remember to outset it the day before.
10/15/2002
-this recipe was pretty adept, however, 4 tbsp of oil was too much- information technology tasted very oily and greasy- i call back iii tbsp would be perfect- -i followed a suggestion by others to employ sesame oil- the strong taste of sesame wasn't our cup of tea- mayhap regular vegetable oil would be better afterward all like is recommended in the original recipe- i am going to give this recipe another try with the ammendments i mentioned and i think information technology will be a hit!
08/27/2006
Oh my gosh - this is TOO tasty! The liquid marinates very well into the meat... just be sure not to over-melt, as the meat will dry out. I chopped a green bell pepper and added it to the skillet, which was a dandy compliment to the sugariness flavor. When meat is done, I removed it from the liquid and added a small amount of cornstarch to thicken (be sure to mix the cornstarch with luke-warm water first, in social club to avoid lumps). Cook this on high and stir until liquid thickens a scrap. Pour over meat and store. This dish is great when served with fluffy white rice. Thanks for this "restaurant quality" dish!!
11/09/2005
My son asks for this every week and he is a picky eater. The only tweaking I do is add a touch of cerise pepper flakes for a little spicy boot and occasionally, I wil throw in some fresh broccoli.
01/21/2007
Truly wonderful & easy! I used i tsp sesame oil westward/olive oil, all chocolate-brown saccharide & tamari sauce instead of soy sauce. Added fresh asparagus...yum! Made a small beefiness broth slurry w/cornstarch to add at the end. I served over jasmine rice and sprinkled w/sesame seeds. Very elegant looking & succulent. Thank you for the post.
03/10/2008
This was absolutely perfect. Not a change needed. I added some steamed broccoli at the very end with the sesame seeds to increase the book.
07/25/2005
Oh boy!!! Can I charge per unit this recipe with more stars than five? this recipe worth more than 5 stars. it's the greatest thing ever. We loved information technology. And I shared this recipe with my mother in law and my sisters in law and they loved it. Thank you and so much
01/10/2007
Very proficient and very easy recipe. I made this recipe for a weeknight repast and it was delicious. I marinated the steak for an hour and a half and it was very flavorful. I did every bit other reviewers suggested, however, and doubled the recipe for the sauce (information technology was prissy to have extra to drizzle over the meat when I was serving). In addition, I simply added two tablespoons of oil instead of iv (and I used sesame oil instead of vegetable oil for extra flavour). Subsequently marinating, I drained the sauce through a sieve and put information technology into a saucepan to warm, and stirred in two teaspoons of cornstarch to thicken it. I served the steak with jasmine rice and sauteed red peppers and onions. Yumm! I volition be putting this recipe into weekly rotation. Adjacent time I brand it the only change I volition add is to put simply half the sugar called for in the recipe, as it was a tiny bit too sweet for my taste.
06/09/2007
Absolutely amazing. My husband loved it so much that i'm making it a 2d time in 3 days. A definite winner.
12/31/2006
Very proficient. I doubled the sauce but added reddish pepper flakes and 1-i/2 to 2 Tbs of fresh, minced ginger and corn starch to thicken. Added asparagus, red bell pepper, water chestnuts and bamboo shoots. Turned out very skilful.
08/xi/2010
WOW this was bully i too doubled the recipe and it made a great sauce for the rice
01/05/2011
yummy, only don't add together garlic until fix for sesame seeds. because garlic burn down easily
10/01/2011
I have been looking for a good stir fry recipe that did non involve teryaki (non a fan of it) and this was only what I wanted! I doubled the marinade like many suggested and fabricated information technology with zucchini and mushrooms on summit of white rice. I didn't accept green onions and I forgot to use the sesame seeds, only it was still delicious!
09/17/2010
I'm amazed past how like shooting fish in a barrel and delicious this was. This is probably the quickest repast I've ever made. I cutting up the meat and threw information technology together with the marinade before I went to work. When I came home, I stuck some rice in the rice cooker and fried up the meat for like 5 minutes and done! I added about i tablespoon of cornstarch stirred up with some cold water to the meat and marinade sauce to thicken information technology up and information technology was perfect.
03/08/2005
This is a variation of one of pop Korean dish. I added a flake of black pepper, used sesame oil instead of vegetable oil, decreased corporeality of sesame seed in half, and marinated over night. I also grilled with sliced onions in a cast atomic number 26 pan.
05/30/2008
Very flavorful and easy to make. I've made it twice, once only marinating xxx minutes and once doing it 20 hours (overnight). Definitely marinate overnight. The meat is much more tender and holds more flavor. I added some sesame oil and a compression of red pepper flakes for additional flavor. I served this over Black Japonica (blackness and mahogany) rice which was the perfect accessory.
09/30/2001
Excellent and piece of cake!
01/03/2012
Added brocoli, cauliflower and cherry-red peppers. Succulent.
02/09/2014
I subbed brownish carbohydrate and doubled everything else but the sugar. Nosotros accept lots of beefiness in the freezer (only got a cow)so I use circular, sirloin, even chuck steak. Marinate over night. Serve over rice. I also stir fry any combo of veggies I have, onions (or green onions), carrots, snow peas, broccoli, cauliflower, green peas, light-green beans, bok choy etc. (whatever I have on mitt!)and add to the dish. My kids Dear information technology!!!
09/04/2007
This is excellent. After reading all the reviews I doubled the marinade, did not use onions as my daughter and boyfriend won't eat them, and Withal information technology was delicious. Be certain to stir the marinade WELL so all the dry ingredients dissolve properly. This 1 is a keeper!
02/06/2006
I thought this was but likewise plain tasting. It needed some more spice...well it at least needed something else. Sad to say I won't be making this again.
12/17/2005
This dish was excellent! I added some broccoli and used brown sugar instead of white. The sesame oil really adds to the flavor! I added it to the marinade and drizzled a lilliputian over the dish when it was done cooking. I only marinated 30 min and this was enough. I will make this again!
01/25/2015
This was a great recipe and piece of cake to make for my family afterward a total twenty-four hours at work. Definitely marinade the meat overnight. The merely affair I would change is cut down the amount of oil for the marinade and increase the soy sauce. Information technology was a hit with everyone!
08/11/2002
This dish was first-class. I made it for dinner and there were NO leftovers. My 9yr old daughter couldn't get enough of it!! Thanks for a great recipe!!
12/08/2005
Came to this website looking for a recipe to make with what I had in my fridge. This was it and I wasn't disappointed. Fairly quick reciple to make. I volition make information technology over again. Give thanks you.
02/17/2015
I added one tablespoon of rice wine vinegar, 2 pinches of smashed ginger, doubled the soy sauce and included three and a half tablespoons of brown carbohydrate instead of white. It was delicious!
10/01/2002
Information technology was fashion too much oil so I substitued two tablespoons with sesame oil and the taste was wonderful! A peachy recipe!
03/sixteen/2007
Married man and I both loved this. I added some asparagus for hubby (I don't like the stuff) and served it with a side of sesame rice and crab rangoon. Delicious. Can't await to brand again. Thank you for the postal service.
ten/30/2005
SO easy and simple, but SO practiced. Works not bad over white rice.
ten/01/2007
I've made this recipe many times at our firm. I discover that you lot really have to use a good cut of meat for it to exist tender enough, so I utilize boneless sirloin. The round steak is merely to tough. I too add red pepper flakes, broccoli and mushrooms and serve it over plain ramen noodles. It is delicious.
06/17/2010
I love using this recipe just of course I practise it to my family'southward liking. First I apply a bottom circular roast simply I take the meat guys slice is jerky thin. I also don't utilise green onions since I don't have them about of the time. Yesterday I made this for some guests so I made 8lbs of this and used 1 cup of onion powder and information technology however turned out great. I also used reduced sodium soy sauce and it all the same turns out fine. But the biggest difference I do is that I actually put it out on the grill. Information technology turns out so much better in my opinion. We ordinarily do the meat, jasmine rice, and so I make up veggie skewers of mushrooms, zuchini, and blood-red pearl onions marinated in panzo sauce. It'due south always a hit even with my 6yr sometime. Information technology was a hitting yesterday
01/25/2012
This was a huge hit with everyone! I modified it to use what nosotros had on paw. I doubled the marinade and only used ane/two of the sugar and added a bit of cornstarch to thicken it. I didn't take enough soy sauce so I added teriyaki to make up the difference. The kids don't similar green onions so I minced office of an onion instead and added it to the sauce before marinating. When the meat was near done, I added ruby-red, greenish, and orange peppers. Made some brown rice-Awesome meal!
03/01/2007
This recipe is ane of the all-time stir-fry's I've ever had. When you make it, make sure that you make double, because y'all volition finish upward eating information technology all [the recipe calls for 4, but my boyfriend and I finished information technology all last night between the two of us]. I did change it. I don't similar things also sweetness, and so I used two.5 tbsp. of carbohydrate. I also used a good, low-sodium soy sauce [Kinkkoman's]. I didn't have dark-green onions, and then I finely diced virtually a half of a regular onion and added it. I too added a compression of onion pulverisation and a few red pepper flakes. As for the sauce, I noticed that in that location wasn't a lot, so I increased the amount of soya sauce and oil [NOT Saccharide] to seven tbsp each [or 1/iv cup and 3 tbsp]. Outstanding and thanks for the recipe!!!
01/02/2006
We really liked this dish! Per previous reviews, I changed the sugar to brown sugar & I dredged the beef in flour. I'k not sure if the flour dredging made a deviation or not for u.s.. I also added extra garlic and, to cutting the sweetness a bit, added some hot pepper paste.
02/16/2014
Fabricated this as is except left out sesame seeds (not addicted of them) and added sesame oil instead. My picky son ate 3 helpings, then I know it was proficient.
02/xviii/2014
And so, yummy fifty-fifty with the modifications. I used depression sodium soy sauce. 2 TBS white sugar and ane TBS Splenda. (I call back I volition go one TBS each just to make it less sweet). Used my Foodsaver marinate container and it was gear up to melt in xxx minutes. With the extra sauce I stir fried cabbage, carrots, asparagus, mushrooms, cauliflower and noodles. There was not a teaspoon left. Thank you lot for sharing.
12/09/2008
Very good - I followed the recipe, but with a couple additions. I used sesame oil to add flavor, and added snow peas, asparagus and mushrooms. Served with Jasmine Rice, will make again!!
02/17/2014
I made this for my family and we all loved information technology. I did exchange the onion for some fresh green beans (lots!) and served it over white rice. Doubling the sauce makes enough to spoon over rice. I didn't accept time to marinade at all, merely cooking the beef, (using merely enough oil to chocolate-brown & stir fry, non what the recipe called for) calculation the light-green beans, and sesame seeds & and so adding the sauce mixture at the stop. Super quick, & delicious. Will make this again.
01/26/2012

I did not read all the reviews before I put my beef into the marinade. Information technology is Actually sweet. I didn't fifty-fifty use regular carbohydrate. The splenda was probably a piddling better than if I actually used sugar, so I tin can't imagine how white sugar would taste. And so next time I will lessen the corporeality of saccharide in one-half and employ a unlike cut of beef or tenderize it. The round steak was a little as well chewy for me.

Cooked this today using beef flank but I reduced the marinate slightly later on reading that sugar might be also much. Used merely 3T soy sauce, 3T sugar, 2T olive oil, garlic powder with no dark-green onions and omitted sesame seeds, Gustation is good but still too sugariness to my liking. However, I like how easy it is to prepare this dish, so I'll reduce sugar to 2T next time. I cooked this with onions and French beans, my daughter loves it and asked me to melt for her lunch once more tomorrow.

Great recipe!! My kids devoured it. Added a lilliputian fresh ginger and used sesame oil instead of vegetable oil. Merely used about a tbsp of carbohydrate. Served with peppers, broccoli over rice! Delicious!

This was really expert, but I modified it some. I used stir fry beef and I merely used three teaspoons of carbohydrate. It was a prissy salty and sugariness flavour. I also served it over egg white noodles. Perfect combo.

This was expert but I concord with others a niggling as well sweet. I volition make again but I will use less sugar and a picayune red pepper flakes to lengthened it a flake. Other than that it was a practiced recipe and I will arrive over again. I added asparagus at the end. Thanks!
